Available only Nov-Dec, stollen is a traditional German cake-like fruit+nut bread eaten during the Christmas season. Our stollen is studded with dried fruit and almonds, filled with a swirl of rich, homemade marzipan, and dusted with a snowy coating of powdered sugar. Keeps at least two weeks, and freezes well.
A classic breakfast cake perfect with coffee or tea and with friends for breakfast or brunch. A tender, moist crumb with a layer of cinnamon streusel in the middle and on top, finished with a light glaze.
